Ogata is an expert marksman, serving under First Lieutenant Tsurumi throughout the Russo-Japanese War before deserting to pursue the gold for his own reasons. Cold, detached, and pragmatic, he cares little for the rest of the cast and prefers to keep to himself; little truly interests him besides his gun and his job (killing other human beings). He's infamously fickle and treacherous, switching factions without hesitation as soon as doing so benefits him. I absolutely love this guy.
